is essential for a successful research career. If you are a faculty or resident
writing or planning to submit an NIH R-series grant, take advantage of the
8-week NIH R01 Grants Writing Workshop Series starting June 19, presented by
Mary Lou King, Ph.D. This highly worthwhile and informative series will take place
Wednesdays from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at the Clinical Research Building, room 953 and
will guide you through the strategies of a winning grant proposal. Unlike other
“how-to” workshops, in this series you will work on your own grant and will
finish with a comprehensive draft. Registration is required.

Miami Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is sponsoring two
Mentored Translational Research Scholars Program Awards (K12) starting on June
1, 2013. This program will support
the research career development of two young investigators by providing up to 3
