The Disclosure Profile System (DPS)
The UM Office of Research Compliance (ORC), Office of Research Information Management and UM Information Technology are pleased to announce the upcoming launch of the Disclosure Profile System (DPS). The DPS will streamline into one simple process several of the current UM disclosure processes, combining the Faculty Disclosure Form (FDF), the Financial Interest Declaration (FID) form and the Individual Interest Disclosure (IID) form.
Completion of the DPS and the new CITI training modules on conflicts of interest (COI) are both necessary to comply with updated Public Health Service regulations that strive to promote objectivity in research and sponsored scholarly activities. UM’s COI policy was recently updated to reflect these changes in the federal regulations.
The DPS is now available to accept disclosures. Additional instructions and answers to FAQs are available to help the user maneuver though the disclosure system.
To comply with the federal regulations, all UM faculty, staff and trainees who work on studies funded by the Public Health Service will have to complete the CITI training and make their disclosures by August 24, 2012.
