Research Integrity
The University of Miami is committed to a culture of excellence by providing a strong foundation for the implementation, maintenance and assessment of all essential research compliance activities. Our robust support system of dedicated faculty and staff ensure that all researchers comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Maintaining our research integrity is a shared responsibility among the research community. The University has a multifaceted reporting system, ‘Cane Watch, that a faculty member, employee, or student can use anonymously to report concerns related to suspected issues of non-compliance, violations of policies and procedures, rules and regulations, or other irregularities/improprieties.

Employees can also directly contact the Office of Research Standards: 305-243-4054 or the University Ombudsperson: 305-284-4922.

Any University of Miami employee reporting or deciding whether to report activity that may be in violation of a law, rule, or regulation is protected against retaliation by the Whistleblower Protection Statement.
