Office of the Vice Provost for Research: How We Help
Facilitating scholarly activity, scientific discovery, and the responsible conduct of research, the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at the University of Miami provides an integrated network of administrative support and educational opportunities. It’s all about the U.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research serves the UResearch community by:
- Providing specialized facilities, a quality research infrastructure, and maintaining a safe research environment.
- Assisting researchers in identifying and obtaining extramural funds.
- Managing relationships between researchers and funding entities.
- Providing administrative oversight of all regulatory aspects of research operations, including conflicts of interest, the protection of human subjects, and the welfare of animals used in research.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Research serves all University of Miami campus sites (including Coral Gables, the Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, the Rosenstiel School of School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, and others). Our investigators often have joint appointments with University of Miami-affiliated institutions (Jackson Memorial Hospital, the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, etc.).
